HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound)
HIFU is one of the medical aesthetic treatments that provides a spectacular lifting effect without surgery. Thus it is particularly suitable for tightening and lifting sagging, aging skin - on the face, chin, neck, case and neckline area. After treatment, the skin becomes firmer and the number and the depth of wrinkles decreases.
How HIFU technology works?
We work on the face in three depths:
- 1.5 mm, where the elastin structure is rebuilt,
- 3 mm activating the fibroblast cells responsible for collagen production,
- At 4.5mm, we access and stimulate the Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System (SMAS) layer, which plays an important role in keeping the face firm. The shrinkage and loss of elasticity of this thin layer over time has the greatest effect on the appearance of our face.
WHEN THE RESULT COMES AND HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO YOU NEED?
As we act on different layers, the regeneration effect is also prolonged.
Besides the immediate firming effect results appear progressively within 2 to 3 months after treatment and you can recognize the complete result after 6 months as the production of new collagen may be sustained.
The result is spectacular and long-lasting. Individual results may differ, in average it can last for 18 to two years or even longer. In the case of HIFU, a treatment is sufficient to achieve the desired effect, and may subsequently be repeated to maintain the effect. One treatment is usually sufficient on light to moderate skin laxity to achieve the desired effect. With time it can be repeated to maintain the effect.
In the next hours a slight swelling and redness of the treated area may occur. However, generally it is not harshly recognizable so you can continue with your daily routine. In the days the treated area may be more sensitive, but you shouldn’t expect severe pain and no pain relief will be required. Avoid in the following days: Extreme heat effects (sauna, solarium, sunbathing). Activities which cause sweating, such as exercising. Leaning and lifting heavy objects. The use of different cosmetics, make-up and cosmetic treatments should be also avoided. It is very important as well to sleep on your back for a few days, the material needs some time to settle. Increased fluid intake and vitamin C supplementation can further support collagen production.
